Great experience here buying a boat. Worked with broker Pete Odders. Was honest and straight forward throughout the process. Worked with me and the seller on negotiating a fair price for the older sailboat. Marina removed the shrink wrap and charged the batteries a few days before my surveyor came. Addressed the one electrical issue found by my surveyor and was flexible with my delivery date. Sailed my new boat home last week and couldn’t be happier with the new vessel.

Pete at Racine Riverside helped me repower my aluminum fishing boat with a more modern and reliable Honda outboard motor, which I desperately needed as I fish several times per week. The process took under a week from my first call and I am out fishing on it already. The pricing was very fair compared to other marinas and the communication was excellent throughout the entire process. The team went above and beyond and gave me several customization options for my gauges and ignition. I am very happy with the high level of detail their technicians had which made my 20 year old Crestliner feel like a new one. Thank you!

We started out putting a deposit on a boat in the fall. Not having a dock to place the boat until the third week of May, in the spring. The salesperson said that the sale would be contingent on a survey. In spring we were pressured to pay for the boat before the delivery date. The owner was nice enough to deliver the boat. The salesperson said all of the surveyors were booked for the season, and to use one of their technicians instead. We were told we didn't need a survey, because we would not find anything wrong with the boat. We were told by the salesperson, and owner that everything is new, and that the owner put $40,000 into upgrades on the boat. We trusted their judgment. The marina owner was able to get us a survey scheduled. The day after the survey we paid for the boat, and signed the title over. We had a three hour drive. Hours later we found out the survey results. It showed severe water damage on the whole starboard deck, and other repairs making the boat unsafe to sail. We tried to reverse the sale, and failed with three weeks of legal battles. After the sail we found out that the upgrades were lied about the time gone by on the upgrades, leading to less value on the boat. We paid a premium price to have a boat without problems. We were lied to, and felt burned by the results from the survey. Eventually the marina owner did buy the boat back; yet we had to lose $5000. The repairs needed would have been more then we spent on the boat. We still feel taken advantage of by the salesperson, and owner. These were expensive lessons to learn. The boat is a 1983 Hunter 27. Since then we bought a 2004 Catalina 250 25 foot boat. This boat has a trailer, and less problems then the Hunter 27. Don't believe what the salesperson is saying. Get a survey to base problems, and value on any boat, prior to purchase. On the sail the survey was written out of the sale. Another lie from this marina. We just wanted to have fun sailing, without the problems. We were lied to, again, and again. We will get past the problem of this lie of a sale. I hope this marina learns from their errors on this sale. Pete Odders is not an honorable man. Turns out that the sails were 12 years old, not new. The rigging was 11 years old, not new. The engine was five years old, not new. The fuel tank was lied about being replaced, because an old cracked fuel line was still present from the survey. I am not happy about all of these lies, including that the sale was suppose to be contingent on the survey, and was not. I am very angry about these concerns. The boat was uninsurable in it's current condition. The marina wanted to charge us for the repairs, instead of taking care of it by the survey. Very dissatisfied with the result. The wiring was not to code, and the bindge pumps has exposed wires, along with metal wing nuts on connection. This would cause corrosion, and short out over time. There is a stop-cock missing below the water line, so this boat would only take on water, once it is placed in the water. Dissatisfied.

100% best customer service, attention to detail and follow up! Feel confident buying from Racine Riverside. Mike (general manager) has demonstrated exceptional customer service! He had nothing to gain by helping us find our dream boat, yet spent time and energy on a couple strangers. We were looking for a new 2024 Robalo 207 (which Riverside sadly didn't have in stock) and he went out of his way to support us and the product line. This is excellent CS! We bought a 207 out of Pennsylvania because Mike found it. Thank you Mike! Your amazing!
