I want to share my experience with the manager from this company for the way they treat their customers and not keeping their word then attempting to deceive and manipulate situation for no apparent reason beyond covering up their own mistake. From June 2023 to July 2024, I rented a space for my motorhome at this facility. They informed me they needed to replace the roof and asked me to move out during the first week of August 2024 for one week, then return mid-month. Due to my schedule, I couldn’t move back in during that timeframe, so I requested to cancel my lease since I was vacating before August 2024 rent was due and was now on a month-to-month basis beyond my initial 12-month lease. The representative agreed, assuring me she would cancel it in good faith, hoping I would return as a customer in the future. I told her I definitely would, despite the inconvenience of adjusting my business travel plans. Fast forward to now—I emailed them a request for availability but received no reply. When I called to check, the same representative from July 2024 immediately became defensive, claiming I owed for last August 2024 and refused to rent to me because of it. When I calmly offered to pay the amount to resolve the issue, she became irritated, labeled me as difficult, and stated she couldn’t rent to me. When I asked if any spaces were available and reiterated my willingness to settle any outstanding balance (whether I felt I owed it or not) she said no and abruptly hung up. As a business owner, if one of my managers acted this way—allowing personal pride and ego, perhaps due to the managers own poor documentation or memory, to turn away business over a situation like this—I would be quite upset. The roof replacement was beyond my control, and my schedule didn’t permit me to return promptly, leading me to make other long-term arrangements. Given our cordial parting, I expected a warm welcome upon my return. Instead, the manager’s lack of professionalism is preventing potential annual revenue of over $3,500 for the business. I’m thankful for all my customers, and if I make an agreement, I honor it. Retracting an agreement and turning away business, especially when the customer is willing to pay the $300 in question to resolve the issue, is mind-boggling that the manager would act this way especially based on the circumstances that were created by inconveniencing the customer in the first place. Had you not asked me to remove my motorhome because of replacing the roof my motorhome still would be there on auto pay every month and we wouldn’t have had this situation. Thankfully—I have plenty of other options to store my motorhome. But I wanted to share my experience in case others face a similar situation. It’s not about the money—I’d gladly pay the $300 if needed to move forward, but it’s frustrating when a company management representative makes an agreement, then backtracks and manipulates a straightforward situation, projecting their own issues onto the customer. This is in no way an attack against the owner. I’ve had several conversations with them over the past 10 to 12 years. He owns car washes, a background very similar to mine. However, if I had someone representing my company like this, turning away valued paying customers who are also business owners, I would be very unhappy with how my business is being represented in the community. I can safely use the term “manipulative” because there have been several instances throughout my lease where this particular managers issues and mistakes were projected onto me that were no fault of my own, stemming from internal mishaps and overseights by this same individual. Each time, I turned to look the other way because there’s bigger issues that that person having their own challenges and we all have good and bad days. I’m sharing this so if you’ve had a similar experience with this same company/individual you know you’re not alone.

We have been storing our RV at Florida Covered storage for 5 years. It is a very safe and well maintained place Management did send out emails advising us to move our camper due to impending hurricanes. The storage is located in Zone A and it does flood during tropical storms and hurricanes. We moved our camper before the hurricanes as was advised and had no issues.

I have no idea why this business is strarting to get low reviews??? We have our 2022 31ft Class C there and just renewed our lease today for ANOTHER year. Tina in the management team has been excessively responsive, professional and helpful. Both myself and my father have covered lots for our RV's there and we have never expierenced flooding. During the last two hurricanes Tina called us directly and emailed us several times advising of the risks of keeping our RV's onsite during a hurricane. Being from FL we understand the risks with any hurricane and we have insurance- that is what insurance is for! The facility has been great maintaining their property and after reading some of theses recent reviews it almost seems as if people are trying to take advantage of FL Covered. I can't emphasize enough how easy the mgt team has been to work with and how happy we are to be there. Thank you.

FLOOD ZONE! DANGER!! Do not even entertain the thought of storing your RV, 5th Wheel or Boat at Florida Covered Storage. The fact that there was a flood and we experienced $16,000 ( Sixteen Thousand Dollars) in damages was devastating enough however the experience continued to get worse. We have no idea how long our Motorhome sat in over 2 feet of water because management failed to notify us of a massive flood. When we came to pick up our RV preparing to travel to St. Augustine we could see the water line on our RV. Everything in storage was destroyed. Generator destroyed. Wiring , censors all destroyed. We requested Florida Covered Storage not charge us for the Month or two that the repairs took place. Not only did management deny our request she indicated our lease would immediately be terminated if we didn’t make payment. She claimed it was the Owners decision. The lack of communication, poor customer service and the disrespect was at a level I have never experienced. Management never even returned our calls. Just nasty and disrespectful texts. As a business owner in Pinellas County for 35 years I could never imagine treating my clients in such a disrespectful manner. After the fact I have learned that Florida Covered Storage had a previous flood. That was never disclosed. They also just increased monthly fees. Unconscionable!! We found a wonderful place with great management after the repairs are completed. Never ever enter through the gates of Florida Covered Storage.

They raised the the space rent a $100.00 with no notice. It's basically a dirt lot covered with rocks,as a result my boat was constantly dirty. Then they required me to move my boat for a week to do maintenance. Which was a problem as I had no where I could take it,so I had to rent another storage space somewhere else. They refused to give me a credit for the week I had to move my boat.!! These people are crooks! Beware.
