Worst place to rent from. This is an unmanned site and everything is done over the phone or online. When i first setup my unit we had everything setup for move in and seemed ok. When i arrived, the unit they had reserved for me was locked and full of someone elses stuff. It took 2 hours of phone calls to get it straightened out and get me another unit. After a couple months they jacked up the rate up for no apparent reason. The gate was broken and stuck open to the site almost every time i went there, I finally just decided the cost wasnt worth it. Scheduled my move out online on their website, moved all my stuff out several days EARLY so i didnt get charged another month, and what do they do? Yep, charged me another month anyway. I had even emailed them the day after I had moved out letting them know I was moved out and the locks were in the drop box per their requirements. Ive called trying to get reimbursed and after a couple days they finally responded claiming the unit was still locked and occupied 3 days after i had already left it. Complete and total lie. Ive had to make a fraud claim to my credit card and will drag it to small claims court if i have to. Screw these crooks.

I just got a storage unit inside the building a couple weeks ago. It's supposed to have ac and clearly it doesn't because it's hot in there. There's no one on site. Wife has been putting a lock on it and yesterday when I went there I realized you can still open it with the lock on because it missing a piece to lock it but again no one on site I tried to call and you talk to a AI so that's no help and when I do get ahold of a representative, they can never get ahold of the property manager every time.It's an excuse.It's been weeks still not resolved. I don't know which unit it's coming from but there's a foul smell inside of there like homeless people are living in there or a garbage can or whatever it is it's disgusting. They need to get it figured out because it's making my stuff stink and I can still smell it in my nose still after I leave. They need to do better or I will have to take my stuff somewhere else. ***update*** After 2 months of my stuff being there. 2 months trying to get someone to fix the lock and no ac they sent me a notice that they were raising the rates absolutely not I loaded all my stuff up that day canceled my account, and took it to extra space storage it's cheaper cleaner and the ac works and theres someone on site everyday. All my stuff I had in that storage now stinks like istorage I can still smell it in my suburban now too this place needs to do better or shut it down

I strongly caution anyone considering NSA iStorage in Ruskin. My experience was riddled with deceptive practices and unacceptable conditions. Despite advertising a “first month free” promotion with a $29 administration fee, I was charged the full month’s rent. When I requested a refund, I was told the promotion “must not have existed,” despite it being clearly advertised at the time of rental. This bait-and-switch tactic is misleading at best, and fraudulent at worst. After vacating the unit and properly notifying management via their online option, I continued to receive charges for rent. Attempts to resolve this were met with vague responses and no accountability. Be prepared to dispute charges even after you’ve moved out. Additionally, within just 90 days of renting, my monthly rate was increased by over 20%—a steep and unjustified hike. This kind of pricing volatility makes long-term storage planning nearly impossible. Most concerning of all, the unit was contaminated with rodent droppings and a dead mouse. The belongings required professional decontamination due to exposure to mouse and rat waste. This is not just a cleanliness issue—it’s a health hazard. The "security entrance gate" was open for over a month. again no viable response as to why or when it was going to be fixed. If you value transparency, fair pricing, and basic sanitation, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Was only late six days made a payment Monday loc is still on the unit but yet I paid for the unit and I can’t have access and when you call there’s never a management that’s local. You always get the call center’s number and all they do is try to reach out to the manager on site and they’re never available since this storage company has been taken over by NSA. What a complete bust. oh, and when corporate tries to reach out to the local management team, they never answer Boy. That’s a great job to work and get paid but never be available.
