ProSafe Storage - Richmond

THEY ARE SCAMMERS. They advertised the storage as being 24/hrs and charged extra for it but upon actually speaking to the staff it was informed there is no 24/hr access. Scammers and liars.

The facility is clean, and reasonably priced, and the manager is easy to work with. I definitely recommend this ProSafe.

Roshyia was a huge help today! I had to call and check on something related to my storage unit, and I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Not only have they always met my storage needs without fail, but the customer service is spectacular. If you need a storage unit this is the place to go, and try to get Roshyia when you go because she's extremely pleasant, easy to work with, and great at her job. 10/10 all around!!

When I first moved my belongings in, the unit I was assigned had a faulty/broken lock and could not be secured. Because of this, we were forced to unload everything ourselves and move it into a different unit, creating a lot of unnecessary work and stress. The manager acknowledged the inconvenience and explicitly stated he would give me $50 off each month, knowing I would not be there long. Later, he denied ever saying this, which was disappointing and dishonest. I then paid for a new month but vacated the unit just three days later. I emailed the manager to inform him in writing that I was vacating by the end of the month. Despite this, I received a rent increase notice AFTER I had already moved out. I emailed him again asking why I was receiving this when he knew I had vacated. He never responded. Now, despite no longer occupying the unit, I am receiving past-due notices. Customer service was contacted and stated they cannot resolve this and that it must be handled at the facility level, leaving me no choice but to seek legal counsel. This entire situation could have been avoided with basic honesty and communication. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location to document EVERYTHING and be very careful dealing with management.

Easy purchase online. Friendly move-in on site. Edit: Don't trust their move-in rates. Rent goes up every 6 months, and I am now paying double just 1 year in.
